TUBULAR FORMS
This sculpture explores the complexity of organic structures. The six inter-connected tubes were influenced by my Sea Squirt glass sculpture as well as microscopic marine algae called diatoms and stem cross-sections. The interior of the tubes and their polished ends contribute to the complexity of the piece. Each tube is different in its profile and the way it bends to form a crease.
